Shooting Squirrels

Grandpa and Ollie went out on to the farm this morning and shot a squirrel. Ollie thought it was great fun and wanted to shoot some more. Not sign of being worried about the blood and guts.

Farmers Market and Golf practice

Ollie and I helped out Grandpa Mike at the Matching Tye Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Ollie was a real star with his kiwi accent and managed to give most of the customers the right change back in UK £ not kiwi dollars. We then had a 'pie & a pint' in the pub after the Market as payment for our hard work.

Uncle Jon took Ollie to a putting green to practice his golf swing.

Hanging out in Sweden

Here are some photos of Hans, Marja, Valerie, Ollie, Marcus and me. We went out to a dinner in a little converted boat shed one night. It was a lovely setting and Ollie was most disappointed he couldn't sit at the table with a life jacket on and eat his dinner.

The other photos here are of us in the park. It had a real pirate ship so I was asked to make a paper pirate hat for Ollie to wear to the park. Ollie just had to pee up against a tree while we were playing there.

More pics from Sweden

Here are some more photos from our time in Sweden. Ollie went horse riding twice and learnt how to play guitar hero and boxing on a Wii. You'll be able to tell the victory photo when he bet his mother at boxing. He got so hot he had to take his top off - no one else felt the need to do the same thank goodness.

Beautiful, beautiful Stockholm

We spent a day looking around Stockholm. We visited the King of Sweden's Castle & were lucky enough to be in Sweden when there was a very important royal wedding. Ollie was most taken with the guards who looked after the castle.

We then went for a wander through the old town of Stockholm and I fell in love with the buildings - as you can probably tell by all my photos. See also the photo of Ollie with Pippy Longstockings doll. Pippy originates from Sweden - something I did not know until we were there.

Viking Village

We visited a Viking Village near Norrtalje for the afternoon. Ollie was able to make his own bread, watch the Viking's 'fight it out', see the blacksmith making arrow-heads and make himself some viking wool. Han's had made him a sword so he walked around the village pretending to be a kiwi viking.

Swedish Friends and our adventures with them

Hans, Marja & Valerie were so kind to us when we stayed with them. Here is some shots of Hans & Valerie - photos of Marja to follow! Ollie had his first try at guitar hero too.
